Curriculum Structure

The curriculum of the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University has a duration of 10 semesters, consists of a total of 96 mandatory, mandatory by selection, and elective courses, of which 38 are core courses, 36 are courses of the 7th, 8th and 9th Semesters, 19 are courses of free choice of 8th and 9th Semester and 3 are optional 1st, 2nd and 3rd Semester.

In order for each student to obtain the Diploma of the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, at least 300 ECTS credits are required, for which they must successfully complete:

    • 38 Mandatory courses
    • 12 Mandatory courses by selection
    • 4 Elective courses
    • Dissertation
    • optional 3 month practical training by profession, for an additional 15 ECTS credits, and optional as many of the offered optional courses as they wish.
The optional compulsories courses are divided into the following 4 areas:
    • Area A – Telecommunication Technologies, Networks and και Defense Systems
    • Area B – Information Management, Intelligent Systems and Automations
    • Area C – Electronics, Photonics and Nanotecnology
    • Area D – Computer Science and Applications

The students must successfully complete 6 courses from cycles A and/or C and 6 courses from cycles B and/or D.
