On this Friday, 5th of March 2021, and within the framework of the International Office Academy Sci-Cafe Colloquial Talks, Assistant Professor Manolis Benis (Physics Department, University of Ioannina) will present his work in Atomic Physics using Accelerators: Projectile Electron Spectroscopy (APAPES). This field is important to fusion, hot plasmas, astrophysics, accelerator technology, atomic structure, and technology.
Dr. Manolis Benis received his Ph.D. in 2001 in Atomic Physics from the Physics Department of the University of Crete (in collaboration with the University of Kansas State, USA) and joined the University of Ioannina in 2009 (in the middle time he was a researcher in the Insitute of Electronic Structure & Lasers, Heraklion, Greece). He has more than 55 peer-review publications in his field, his work has received more than 1800 citations and has an h – index of 23 (Google Scholar).
